Autometronicschool. - Automotive companies from the United States, Ford is Developing Smart Lamp Technology using Camera-Based Advanced Front Lighting System.

According Vivanews on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 that this technology will help the driver when driving at night. With a pin camera, infrared rays, and also integrated with the global positioning system (GPS), driver will be safer while driving with a dark road conditions.

Technologies developed at the Ford European Research and Innovation Centre in Aachen, Germany is claimed to be able to detect eight obstacles, such as pedestrians, cyclists, living beings like animals residing in the surrounding streets, with a detection distance as far as 120 meters from the car.

It is due to the technology Camera-Based Advanced Front Lighting System is embedded in the headlights.

"Camera-Based Advanced Front Lighting help facilitate the driver when traveling at night in unfamiliar surroundings and also to make the driver more easily see the danger of unexpected," said research engineer Lighting Systems division of Ford of Europe, Michael Koherr.
