According Metrotvnews site on July 19, 2015 reported that As with any Hilux Revo, the car is equipped with two new engines GD Turbo Diesel, 2800 cc 1GD-FTV with 177 horsepower and a torque of 450 Nm. Then 2GD-FTV 2400 cc powered 150 horsepower combined peak torque of 400 Nm. Not to forget the 2700 cc petrol version with dual VVT-i, powered 166 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque.

In Thailand only the lowest variance (2.4 G) are given a choice of six-speed manual transmission. While variants of 2.4 V, 2.7 G and 2.8 G is equipped with six-speed automatic transmission. Then only variants that using 2.8 four-wheel drive.

All New Fortuner has crossed a large chassis, which stands on a double wishbone suspension (front) and four-link suspension with coil springs (rear). Differential lock redesigned to improve protection when used off road.

Interestingly lowest type (2.4G) has been capitalized fog lamps, keyless entry, push-button start, tilt & telescopic steering, auto dimming rear view mirror, three airbags, traction control, vehicle stability control to hill-start assist.
